Insurance Reinstatement Services for Fire Damaged House Roof

Requirements:
This domestic property suffered fire damage to the roof space. Stellar Insurance Reinstatement Services were asked to carry out make safe repairs after an attempt by a previous contractor had failed during strong winds.
Solution:
We enlisted our scaffold contractor to attend the property the following day to provide a ‘temporary roof scaffold’ whereby the house is protected and watertight to prevent further damage to the internals of the property.
Stellar won the tender on this project and were required to strip the property in full (including asbestos removal works), and follow on with full reinstatement. Roof trusses were replaced in full due to the severity of fire damage.
Outcome:
As of November 2018 the internal works are currently ongoing, with the following works complete:
- First fix re-wire
- First fix plumbing and heating
- Plasterwork
- Decorative panels to bathroom
- All second fix joinery work
As the project ran ahead of schedule, the policyholder hopes to be back in their home before Christmas 2018.
